What We Do
We lead efforts to build systemic power because we believe it is the only way we heal and create change in our communities and our country. We fight against systemic barriers to equity, such as voter disenfranchisement, cultural barriers and trauma.
Civic Disenfranchisement
Rural communities in the Black Belt and youth of color are systematically excluded from decision-making through geographic and political isolation.
Cultural Barriers
Entrenched patriarchal frameworks like "Machismo" actively suppress progress around reproductive freedom and gender equity within communities of color.
Trauma
Trauma fundamentally alters human biology, behavior, and trust. It restricts equitable access to resources by locking marginalized communities in cycles of chronic stress and institutional punishment.
